On May 17, 1992 WCW WrestleWar 1992: WarGames took place from the Jacksonville Memorial Coliseum in Jacksonville, Florida. It was the 4th and final WrestleWar professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Championship Wrestling. The main event was a WarGames match, in which Sting’s Squadron (Sting, Barry Windham, Dustin Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat & Nikita Koloff) defeated The Dangerous Alliance (Steve Austin, Ravishing Rick Rude, Arn Anderson, Beautiful Bobby Eaton & Larry Zbyszko). |

On September 7, 1988 NWA Clash of the Champions III: Fall Brawl took place at the Albany Civic Center in Albany, Georgia. In the main event, Sting defeated NWA United States Heavyweight Championship Barry Windham (with J.J. Dillon) by disqualification after Windham hit Sting with a chair. The referee didn't actually see the chairshot but was informed of it by former San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman John Ayers who came to ringside. Fall Brawl would later become a regular PPV event for WCW. |
