After years of progress in the fight to save lives in the opioid epidemic, 2020 saw a record number of overdose deaths in Massachusetts. The pandemic shutdown had consequences for people battling addiction, so many resources contracted or closed because of virus safety protocols. Tonight we hear from people who were struggling to get and stay clean during a global pandemic. We also to people on the frontlines of this fight who fought to stay open during this time.
